this was ... not good..
it was too short, too fast, no buildup whatsoever, no development
no nothing honestly.

it was supposed to be a second chance but I was so confused because it didn't read as a second chance at all.

Squeeze my heart! The Forever Formula by Kendall Ryan was a second chance small town romance that left my heart feeling deliciously happy. This book also included teenage sweethearts and was a bit of a slow burn which I really enjoyed. Rachel and Noah’s journey to HEA was full of healing from the past, longing for a fresh start, and a swoon-worthy future. I devoured this book in one sitting because I couldn’t get enough of Noah and Rachel’s long awaited love story.

Overall, I loved this book. If you are a fan of a small town second chance romance with a hot broody brewer, a fiercely sweet nurse, small town gossip, welcoming neighbors, honoring lost loved ones, new opportunities, slow burn steamy times, misunderstandings, jealous exes, and a HEA that will forever leave a lasting impression on your heart, then you will love Noah and Rachel’s story. I always look forward to more from Kendall Ryan.

I was happy to see that Kendall Ryan was back writing with a new series. I hate to say that I only thought it was okay. Second chance romances are always hit or miss, because I have to be sold on the chemistry and feeling that these two should be together. And that's what I was missing here.

The flashbacks were just of teens in love. Nothing of this world stopping romance that never got to happen because Rachel left. We were just supposed to believe that despite the years, these two were just meant for each other. Why? Why wasn't Noah's character more fleshed out. I couldn't really tell you anything about him except he made beer and liked Rachel.

As you can tell, this wasn't a favorite of mine from this author. I'm curious to see about Austen finding a wife, so I'm hoping that the next book will be better.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars

It has been a minute since I have read a Kendall Ryan Book. I was excited to see she was writing a small town series. I am intrigued about the beginning of a new series Kodiak Canyon.   The first book in the series was well done.
The story follows Rachel, a nurse from Houston, who returns to her childhood home after her grandfather's passing. She finds herself living next door to Noah and his family, whom she knew when they were younger.
Their story is a slow burn romance, with a touch of second chance, but ultimately a friends-to-lovers tale. What I appreciate about this book is its low angst; it's relatable characters and an authentic storyline that had me rooting for each of them.
I struggled most with the slow burn and the misunderstandings that seems to pop up. I did not get the full chemistry of their attraction and struggled with wanting more.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

I love the start of a new series by an author I enjoy, and this is the first in the Kodiak Canyon series, and I am thrilled to have new titles by this author.

Rachel grew up in the area and left to become a nurse in Houston...and then her life falls apart, her grandfather dies, and she ends up in the cabin where she grew up, right next door to Noah and his family.

It's a great start for a slow burn romance that is a little bit of a second chance, but really more a friends to lovers about two people who had a connection when they were younger and live separate lives, but still find the connection remains.

This title was low angst, and I enjoyed that about it. It felt like an easy read with characters I liked and a story that was authentic and made me somewhat relate to each of them.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

When Rachel Tyson inherits her grandfather’s cabin in the mountains she never thought the boys that lived next store would still be there. Noah Hart in particular was someone she always cared for. They haven’t seen each other in ten years though and sometimes time changes you. Can these two former friends play nice and maybe become more? Sadly, I couldn’t really get into this one however slow burn, small town romance fans will enjoy this fast read. The Forever Formula is the first book in this new small town series. Told in dual POV

I finished this book a while ago and forgot to mark it as finished.

It was a good book, but I will admit that this one seemed to go a bit too fast for my taste. I felt like the book could have been longer to make the narrative flow better, but other than that, I did enjoy my reading.

I do intend to pick up the next books in the series because I want to know what will happen with the other brothers too.

I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

I am a huge fan of this author. I had high hopes for this book. I liked it but it didn't wow me like her books usually do. It felt more like a novella than a full book since so much of the depth wasn't there. Still, it's was a nice foundation for the series.

“For years, Noah Hart was the measuring stick by which I’d evaluated all other men.”

The Forever Formula was a fun, fast, flirty second-chance romance that will warm your heart. Rachel returns to her hometown after her grandfather dies and she inherits his home. She’s on a journey to discover what is next in her life when she comes face to face with the man she left behind.

Rachel was a strong, independent woman and I loved how she took charge of her life. She had a lot of soul searching to do when she showed up in Kodiak Canyon and the town and Noah seemed to heal her heart. I loved watching her find the joy in life and to realize that sometimes you can come back home.

Noah was such a sweetheart. Even though he had been hurt when Rachel had left town, he was able to move on from those feelings and realize that they could have a second chance if he could learn to trust that she would stay this time.

“It all felt so familiar with Noah. Like I was his and he was mine. Despite all the time and distance, it was so natural between us.”

I loved the easy chemistry between Rachel and Noah. Both were a bit unsure around each other at first but quickly fell back into their friendship. Their feelings were too strong to ignore and I loved that they didn’t let hurt feelings and misunderstandings fester for too long. Full of small-town charm, a big, loud, and mouthy family, second chance romance, a lot of humor and heart, and a bit of angst, The Forever Formula was a sweet, enjoyable romance and I can’t wait for more of the Hart brothers.

#theforeverformula is book one in the #hartbrothersseries by @kendallryan1

Noah: Brew master. Family guy. Loves hard. Noah has always stayed back in his small town. He’s made a name for himself brewing beer with his brother and is enjoying his life. But when his first love comes back to her childhood house, his emotions aren’t sure what to do. Rachel was always treated like family and they were friends. Until they saw each other as more. He loved Rachel at 16, but it’s been a decade since she left him. Can he continue on expanding his company or is fate giving him another chance at the woman who’s always owned his heart?

Rachel: Nurse. Big dreams. Missing family. Rachel is a nurse who’s had one punch after another connect with her emotions. She got laid off, broke up with her fiancé and her only family member; grandpa, had died. She’s back in her childhood home to follow out his wishes. She didn’t expect to see the guy she walked away from at 18 so soon. She loved Noah, but wanted to leave the small town to follow her dreams. Is she finding out that maybe things aren’t always better outside what you know or is this her chance to get her happiness since she has nothing left to lose?

I love a second chance, small town book. Noah was attentive, honest and just so dang sweet! The way he interacted with family was wonderful. From dinners to the barn. Rachel was a tough as nails nurse looking to find herself. Noah showed her what it meant to feel special. I really liked their relationship. Some parts were a little slow and repetitive for me, but I did enjoy it. Excited to see more about this small town family.

Get ready for a charming, sexy, second chance romance, filled full of sizzling chemistry, small town gossip, slow burn steamy times, opposites attract, jealous exes, and a feel good HEA that will stay with you long after you are done reading. What a fantastic story to start off the new Hart Brother series! I was thrilled to get my hands on this new story by this author. And it was so worth the wait. I couldn’t put this down and read this in one sitting. Omg…so good!!

This is Rachel Tyson and Noah Hart’s story, and it made my heart soar!

Rachel Tyson’s life had completely imploded a few weeks ago, when she broke off her engagement, and was laid off from her nursing job. But the worse was recently losing her grandfather who had raised her. Now she was back in Kodiak Canyon Colorado to deal with his home and property he had left to her. She had left ten years ago to go to college and never looked back. But what she hadn’t counted on was him. Her first love.

Noah Hart was having a break out year with his brother Austen and their Kodiak Craft Ale but they needed more land to continue to build their company and their profit margin. But when Noah heard that Rachel was back, he wasn’t about to let her get away again. He was determined to get the girl that broke his heart, even if his brother Austen seemed to be trying to push her away.

I love this small town and the Hart family. I can’t wait to get the next in this series!!!

I received a early copy and this is my honest review

Wonderful second chance, small town romance. Rachel’s world has imploded which has her returning to her hometown and her grandfather’s cabin that she inherited. She never expected to lose her job and a fiancé within a few weeks of each other. Going back to her roots is bitter sweet since she also lost her only family, her grandfather. This is a good opportunity to reevaluate her life and figure out what she should do next. As she works to fix up the cabin, she is reminded of the good times growing up and hanging out with the Hart boys, her neighbors. Maybe her once regret is walking away from Noah when she left for college. Noah has built a successful brewery and has found his passion. Being in love with Rachel was easy when he was a kid but he is 2 years younger than her which was also a hurdle. He hasn’t seen her in 10 years so knowing she is back at the cabin brings back all those emotions. He’s also at a stage in with his business where they need to grow and her land is the best option available. As he rekindles a friendship with Rachel, how does he balance his work goals with his love for her? Rachel didn’t see herself living back in Kodiak Canyon but life has a way of showing us a path we didn’t expect, the question remains if she will be open to this new direction? I enjoyed getting to know Rachel, Noah and all the Hart’s along with the people of Kodiak Canyon.

Rachel and Noah were sweet and fun to read about in this story. The Hart brothers that we meet in this book (Logan, Noah and Austen) and fun and playful. The interactions between the brothers will have you giggling like a crazy person at time but also you will want to literally kill Austen for a bit there when he confronts Rachel. Noah is the star of the show in this book though as he tries to navigate Rachel coming home. She was his first love but she took off right after high school and didn't look back. I wish the book dove deeper into their past so I could really connect to what they were doing now especially when they were in the will they or wont they phase of the story. They have TONS of chemistry and it felt like that was all that they had cause I was missing that emotion whether it would've been hurt, betrayal, longing, denial.... just something felt like it was missing for me. There were some good jealously moments and possessive moments from both of them but they weren't over the top. I still really enjoyed the book but I think it missed out on building that deeper connection to the characters along the way.

4 SMOOCHES!

Kendall Ryan kicks off her new Hart Brothers series with The Forever Formula, a second-chance, small-town romance. Raised by her grandfather in Kodiak Canyon, Rachel left behind her broken-hearted high school boyfriend, Noah, to pursue her education. Fast forward a dozen or so years, and a tragedy coupled with her life circumstances has Rachel returning to the only place that’s ever felt like home.

The Forever Formula was a light-hearted, feel-good, easy-reading contemporary romance that I devoured in a few hours. Full of heartwarming feels and a slow-burn romantic build-up, Ryan weaves genuine emotion into the story without filling the pages with angsty drama. I loved the charming small-town setting, and the endearing side characters added depth and interest to plot, forming a solid developmental foundation for this series. This was a great start to this new series from Ryan, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the Hart brothers’ stories. Four smooches from me for The Forever Formula by Kendall Ryan!

*I received a free, advanced copy of this book for reviewing purposes.*

Kendall Ryan's newest release The Forever Formula, is a small-town, second chance romance, that's the first book in a new series. And, it's got fabulous slow, slow burn. I've read several books by Kendall Ryan over the past couple of years, and slow burn is just one of the things that she does really well.

The will they/won't they exists throughout the entire story, with plenty of intense moments between the two characters. They say they're friends, the next minute he's kissing her up against a wall. And when they end up visiting a special location from their past, all bets are off.

Overall, it's a good book. Not my favorite from the author, but it's hard to top Playing for Keeps or even the Imperfect Love series. I'm definitely glad I read it. And, I can't wait to read the rest of the series and learn more about the other Hart brothers.

The Forever Formula is a sweet small town romance story by Kendall Ryan.

A good second chance romance story between two high school sweethearts who also happen to be neighbors, Rachel and Noah will give you all the feels and have you remembering your first love.

With their history they are both struggling with how to be around each other and both don't know what to do with how they feel for one another, they have both grown since the last time they seen each other and both are remembering how it was when they were younger.

The Forever Forever Formula is a great read, a short cute story with a slow burn that can be read within a day. This will be the first book in the Hart Brothers series so it will be interesting to see how the other brothers compare to Noah.

The Forever Formula is a small town, second chance sweet, heartfelt romance. Rachel is returning to her hometown after the death of her grandfather, having been away for ten years. While there she crosses path with the family she grew up next to, the Hart's, and especially connects with Noah, her former sweetheart. Rachel is at a crossroads in her life- she has lost her job, just broke up with her fiancé, and is now out of a home as well. Perfect time for making big life changes!

I had a little trouble with the timeline. If I followed it corrected Rachel is ten years out of high school, but her and the Hart brothers behaved more like those just out of college and they often were immature in how they handled situations and miscommunications. Despite that I really enjoyed reading as Rachel and Noah reconnect and fall in love. This is 3.5 stars for me.

This first book about Noah and Rachel is a winner!

Noah and his brother Austen make their own beer. The company is Kodiak Creek Ale. They also have two more brothers. Noah’s family and Rachel and her grandfather were next door neighbors when they were children. They used to be a thing when they were teenagers. Rachel’s broken off her engagement, been laid off from her nursing job of seven years at a hospital in Texas, and her grandfather died. So, she’s on her way home to Kodiak Canyon, a remote mountain town in Colorado. She’s been gone ten years, now to return to the cabin her grandfather, who raised her, left to her after his death. Can Noah and Rachel pick up where they left off as teenagers? Go on their journey of misunderstandings, confusion and love, all wrapped up in one great story!

The Forever Formula is a fabulous start to a new series. I loved this one so much. Your heart goes out to Rachel as she starts over back in the small town she never expected to be back in. I love her drive and how healing it is for her to put her energy into fixing up her grandfathers place. Noah has this kind heart and it has only beaten for Rachel. This is a second chance romance that is a slow burn that you will not want to miss out on. I love how Noah and Rachel reconnect. You may not like all of Noah's brothers at first but I have a feeling as this series goes on we will be falling hard for them all. I love the banter and the reconnection between Noah and Rachel. You are not going to want to miss a moment of this one.

Rachel returns the small town she left years ago after her grandfather passes away and she inherits his cabin and the home she grew up in. Noah and his family live next door to Rachel and she’s always been close with them, especially to Noah growing up.

Rachel’s life has completely changed and I love how much she rediscovers of herself and her passion with returning home. Noah…the man is so sweet, even though his heart was broken. The connection and the chemistry between these two was strong and I love that it felt like it never fizzled even though they were apart for years.

I love this small town and I love the Hart family. I can’t wait for more of the brothers to fall.

If you’re looking for a small town, second chance romance check this one out.

I always like small town romance. Rachel is single, unemployed and looking to start her life over. After she inherited her grandfather’s rustic cabin she was supposed to sell it and get the hell out of this remote mountain town which hold too many memories. What she did not expect is to see the Noah again. These two have some history but Rachel does not need to complicate her life with this overprotective, moody, stubborn mountain man 😊 This is a second chance romance with angsts and slow burn. I enjoy the sweet journey these two go through to find HEA. Rachel and Noah were young lovers who were given a chance for a fresh start. Love the adults version – broody hero, sweet heroine, a little small town gossip, lots of heat and heartwarming romance.

When Rachel Tyson returns to Kodiak Canyon following the death of her grandfather (pretty much the only family she ever had), it could be the best thing that’s happened to her in a quite a while. After all, she’s just been made both homeless and jobless, thanks to her selfish ex fiancé. Meeting her childhood sweetheart, Noah Hart, might be fate, they seem to hit it off straight away, and things are looking peachy. Until Noaht’s brother makes her an offer he thinks she won’t be able to refuse. Now the gloves are off and she’s willing to show them all what she’s made of. A truly sweet, small town angst free romance. Wonderful characters narrated perfectly by Erin Mallon and Sebastian York.

Forever formula🤩

Rachel returns to the small town of Kodiak Canyon where she grew up, after she finds out her grandfather has passed away. Even though the timing of her grandfather passing away is heartbreaking for her, it couldn’t have come at a better time. She has no job, no home and she’s left her fiancé too😢

Noah is the second youngest of the Hart brothers and part business owner with his brother for their brewery. When Rachel makes an appearance in their small town again, Noah is unsure as he realises he’s never moved in from Rachel and Rachel soon realises the same thing🤩

A good start to this new small town series and I’m interested to know what Austen has up his sleeve next😳

Noah & Rachel

This was such a good start to a new series by a favorite of mine Kendall. Noah and Rachel have history and when Rachel returns home after the passing of her grandfather, she knows she is gonna run into Noah. What she doesn’t expect is for it to feel like exactly where she is supposed to be, home.

Noah is stubborn and jealous but with good reason. He loved Rachel and while they were both young, he thought she was his forever. However he loved her enough to know she needed to go and see the world. I loved getting introduced to all the Hart’s and I’m ready for Austen to get his story next.

"The Forever Formula" is a sweet second chances novel. Not one of my favorite Kendall Ryan books, but certainly a good escape from life for a few hours. I wish there was a little bit more to Rachel and Noah's story. There seemed to be a few loose ends. Their love story started when they were teenagers. Then Rachel left for college only to come back to Kodiak Canyon after her world fell apart and her grandfather died. Noah stayed in Kodiak Canyon creating a nice life for himself. When the 2 reunite ... it's like no time passed and all the hurt and pain melted away. I'm curious to see how the other brothers fare in Ms. Ryan's upcoming novels.

Okay

The Forever Formula is entertaining and an easy read. Though there is a bit of chemistry between Rachel and Noah, I just couldn’t connect with them. I didn’t get the emotion or character development that I needed to get fully invested in these two. Sure, there are sexy scenes, and a lot of angst and throw in a big misunderstanding and jealousy, and you could see where it was taking you. Just a big *sigh* for an okay ending.

I received an ARC of this story for my honest review.

Sweet read

After being gone for a long time, Rachel is drawn back to her hometown due to the death of her grandfather. She runs into Noah, her high school love/crush. They have a rocky start due to a lot of miscommunication. They're both afraid that the other is just using them for different reasons. A series of events gives Rachel a sense of what she wants to do with her life. An unexpected visitor from her past puts a crimp to n her relationship with Noah. The ending was romantic and I'm looking forward to Austin's story.
