Finn is a widower who has shut himself off from happiness. Veronica is an artist who is hiding her true self. When they find each other, they learn to trust again and open themselves up to romance and an appreciation of being alive! The author draws you in to the story as she unravels the heartache each of her characters are feeling. This story is like the ocean waves that Finn can see from his home. The tension builds and builds until Finn and V ride the crest of the wave to find their happily ever after. The story line is interesting, the characters are believable, and the sex is incredible! You will want to read TO Want and you will be glad you did!

Finn cannot believe his eyes when a gorgeous creature is hanging a painting in his building, a painting his deceased wife had ordered. For the first time since she passed, he's feeling something. Will he ever make up his mind, though, about how feels and whether he's ready for a relationship? Or is poor Veronica doomed to be yanked back and forth as his heart vacillates between wanting to pull her close and pushing her away when his fear gets the best of him?

Veronica's an artist hiding from life when she meets a gorgeous Australian and is taken for the ride of her life as he wrestles with himself and his feelings about moving on. Is it possible the two of them can heal each other? Find some happiness both deserve?

I loved Veronica and Finn! Sweet, sassy artist and walled off billionaire widower sounds like a bad combination, but here they shined once they opened themselves up to trust and to love. I hope to read a lot more love stories by this author, with the idea that they're all as good as To Want.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Finn and Veronica have both bee hurt in the love department and have sworn off ever going there again. But fate has ways of breaking even the strongest of resolves and these two find trust again.
A delightful story that I would thoroughly recommend.

I enjoyed reading this book from the beginning all the way to the very last word. It moved along at a pace which made for an enjoyable read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and no matter what you want to be there for them. The story will keep you reading till the end and then you want more. This is a book that needs to be on your TBR list for 2021.

To Want is the second book in the Such a Bad Idea series. The author was new to me, but the blurb sounded good. I’m glad I was given the chance to read it. This was a second chance romance for a widowed billionaire. It was fast-paced and kept my interest until the end. It was emotional but also intriguing with a mysterious artist. The sparking chemistry between the two main characters could be felt from the beginning. Finn’s wife had died three years prior, but he still was grieving. Meeting Veronica and imagining a relationship with her made him think he was cheating. His feelings were confusing because he really liked Veronica and they had so much in common. Veronica had moved to Australia to start over again and to leave her past behind. She knew any relationship with the billionaire Finn would put her in the spotlight and bring her past forward. She did not do relationships but was she willing to risk all for Finn? This was an emotional but interesting book and I look forward to reading future books by this author.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A slow burn romance with insane push & pull is a tricky thing for me to love as I'm a very impatient person is life so there's only so much frustration I can experience before I snap. To Want is a slow burn story with a ton of push & pull but this author did it amazingly well that I wasn't ready to take everyone out by the end which is quite the feat LOL! Finn lost his wife a couple years past, and it's had him shut himself off from other people (I don't blame him since there's no time table on grief). Veronica is an artist who is now his employee, and while he's drawn to her, it's not an easy thing since it's one step forward, two steps back. They have serious chemistry but it's an exercise in patience for Veronica since she's catching feelings & he's dealing with a lot of feelings so it's slow going. It's the type of story that may not have suspense in it but I was still on the edge of my seat for the whole will they or won't they situation going on! To find out that answer, you'll have to hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Billionaire Finn is still in mourning for his wife and has had no interest in anyone...until he walked into his office and found Veronica standing on his desk hanging a painting. A painting his wife ordered before she died. It brings so many feelings to Finn, more loss and pain but surprisingly an interest in another woman. Something he feels shouldn't be happening because he was devoted to his wife. Veronica has a secret of her own. She moved to Australia to get away from a stalker, one who blackmailed her into doing something she wasn't proud of. Together they work through pain and trust.

An emotional story about two people finding love again.

Finn and Veronica had a connection from the beginning, but he struggles with the loss of his wife. He is hot and cold which can be frustrating as it usually means the relationship really doesn't move forward. However, it didn't feel overdone here.

I had not read the first book in the series, but didn't feel lost at all. I really enjoyed the author's storytelling and writing styles and definitely want to read more in this series.

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

I liked this. The premise was new to me, even if it is an old trope, it was fresh and refreshing and the writing -- the author writes beautifully and doesn't just tell a story, but provides many layers of meaning in her words. She made me think as well as feel. The ending seemed abrupt, which may translate that I wanted more, which may be a good thing since I was so invested in the story. But it also means that there were things left on the table that the author should have explored. I'd read another book by this author.

Finn is mourning the loss of his wife and Veronica is an artist in hiding. They find each other through V’s artwork and work together to find happiness. They compliment and complete each other, much like the painting in the book. This is book 2 in the Such a Bad Idea series. Aiden and Olivia from book 1 “To Love” make an appearance in this book

To Want is a reawakening. Brodsky taps into emotions with a fine toothed comb. Finn and Veronica are strangers to happiness despite the deep instant connection they seem to have. Theirs is a battle of hearts well versed in an ever present pain. Destined to end. Determined to endure. Intent to leave an impression on the heart.

I found the first half of the book a bit slower but it picked up after that.
I really enjoyed the story. The characters are great, they both have a past holding them back but I loved how they learned to be open with each other and trust each other. I love the message about moving on and facing their fears. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. I loved the ending.

OMG wasn't that emotional. I really felt the connection in this one. But OMG I really liked her in the first book! Loved the characters, story was fun.

It's labeled as an enemies to lovers story in the blurb of the 1st and 3rd book, but it's not. And there's a few wrong name errors in this book, confused me!

There wasn't a lot of character development and the story felt rushed. It was a good story, but it felt like there could have been more elaboration of the flow of the story. I would definitely want to try to read more by Daniella Brodsky to see if this was just a fluke.

Sweet

What a sweet second chance story. Finn lost the love of his life to cancer and never thought about moving on until he meets Veronica. It's a back and forth yes and no until he realizes he can move on and she realizes she can trust him.

Continuity typos?

It was ok, bit too angsty for me I prefer the first book but am I wrong, or is the fathers name in the first book Marc not Jack? And in chapter two of this book, the first text interaction is from Olivia and not Veronica.

Needs editing

The storyline was weak with Finn having issues with seeing a woman two years after his wife's death. Veronica's issue was a little dumb also. Spelling and editing issues.

I definitely enjoyed Finn and Veronica's second chance at love. Obviously, with the way he lost his way, Finn is still riding on so much guilt. But the moment he met Veronica, he knew she would be the one to heal him.

What I loved about Finn is that once he's all in, he never looked back. I mean, he was wary at the beginning and he's thinking if he deserve to move on. And once he knows Veronica's his second chance, he took it like a champ. The chemistry and attraction they have for each other are undeniable.

I can't wait for the next book of the series.

Slow burn?  To Want is book 2 in the smoldering stand alone series “Such a Bad Idea” by Daniella Brodsky.  The book is an incredible love story about a widower and his newest employee (no not the nanny).   I could feel the deep conviction that Finn felt for his wife and the pain over her death through Brodsky’s words and her phenomenal descriptions.  The art being described was a little harder to follow but the book was about Finn and Veronica not art.  I found that Veronica was a stronger female character than most writers put in their books and I enjoyed that.  She wasn’t the weepy “Oh, woe is me” type character and was interesting and dynamic.  The only thing that was missing in the story was maybe more description of Sydney and the Australian beaches. I live through the eyes of writers and enjoy the characters narratives of not only what they feel but what they see.  Other than that, this is an excellent story, and I can easily give it 5-stars.  Congratulations Daniella Brodsky on such a wonderful story.
