There are numerous pro-family education bills pending in various committees within the Ohio House and Senate. One such bill is House Bill 61, "Save Women Sports Act." This common-sense bill would prohibit transgender biological males from competing against biological females.
On June 24, 2021, Republicans in the Ohio House passed H.B. 61, and voted to send this bill over to the Senate. During House discussions, Democrats shouted and pounded their desks, acting like children having a temper tantrum. This outrageous behavior can be viewed here: LINK
After the Senate received H.B. 61, it was learned that Governor DeWine sided with the Democrats in the House by threatening to veto the bill. The Senate never voted to pass H.B. 61, and send it to the Governor, therefore it remains in the House committee.
Jim Renacci has promised to sign H.B. 61 into law as Ohio’s next Governor.
