UTAH'S COORDINATED ACTION PLAN FOR WATER is a groundbreaking effort to plan for our state's future directed by Gov. Spencer J. Cox and undertaken by the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (GOPB), the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and the Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF). This document will guide the work of executive branch agencies.

The plan will be released in a series of four chapters throughout 2022. The introduction to the plan and Chapter 1, Investing in Infrastructure, were released on Jan. 12, 2022. Chapter 2, Vibrant Communities, was released on Apr. 27, 2022. Chapter 3, Productive Agriculture was released on July 27, 2022. The full report was released on Nov. 30, 2022

Utah’s Coordinated Action Plan for Water will be assessed, reviewed, and refreshed as needed.
