BEFORE UTAH VALLEY
Toolson spent his freshman season at Salt Lake Community College where he led the Bruins to the 2016 NJCAA national title ... scored a game-high 28 points in the championship game en route to earning NJCAA William B French Most Valuable Player honors ... in his final nine games at SLCC, all of which were tournament elimination games, Toolson shot 58.5 percent (55-of-94) from the field, including a 53.4 percent (31-of-58) percent mark from long range ... he knocked down five three-pointers in both the semifinal and championship games of the NJCAA Tournament ... averaged 14.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.4 assists per game this past season at SLCC ... also knocked down an impressive 93 shots from beyond the arc ... prepped at Lone Peak High School where he won three-straight 5A state championships (2011-13) ... earned second-team all-state honors while helping LPHS to the MaxPreps national title during his senior season.

Born November 27, 1994 ... born in Zaragoza, Spain ... married to MaKenna Thomson ... parents are Andy and Holly Toolson ... his father Andy enjoyed a 10-year professional career that included a pair of seasons with the Utah Jazz ... his cousin Ryan played for the Wolverines from 2003-04, 2006-09 and is Utah Valley's all-time leading scorer. ... his father Andy played basketball at BYU and played professionally overseas ... has one sister (Taryn) and four brothers (Dallin, Trevor, Tanner, Drew) ... served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fort Worth, Texas.
