PAA Board Votes Bibb as Principal


Jason Bibb accepted the offer to officially lead Portland Adventist Academy as principal. Following a series of very positive interviews with the PAA staff, students, and local church pastors, the PAA board met on December 18 and voted unanimously in support of Bibb. Bibb has been serving as interim principal since August and has filled the role of Vice Principal of Finance for more than four years. Eugene Christmas Program – Join Eugene Adventist Church on December 23 at 11:00 am for their annual Christmas program prepared and presented by the young people of the Eugene church. Prepare to enjoy a sacred presentation of songs, instrumentals, and readings to get you right in to the Spirit of CHRISTmas. The Eugene Adventist Church is located at 1275 Polk Street, in Eugene.

36th Annual Sunnyside Family Christmas Musical – Friday, December 22, 7:00 pm, Sunnyside Adventist Church will celebrate Christmas with our 36th annual Family Christmas musical program. Invite your friends and enjoy an evening of Christmas music presented by some of Portland’s finest musicians. Bring your musical score and participate in the finale – Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from “Messiah.” An offering will be received to support feeding Portland’s homeless each Sunday morning in O’Bryant Square in downtown Portland. Refreshments will be served after the program. Location: 10501 SE Market Street, Portland, Oregon 97216.

Newstart for the Family – Newstart for the Family begins January 23 at 6:00 pm at the Grants Pass Adventist Church Better Living Center. This scientifically researched health restoration program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays for a total of 8 sessions, ending February 15. It includes lifestyle principles that  prevent and reverse disease through natural methods. This is a great series to learn the basics of meal planning and cooking with plant foods. The 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work – The 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work couples workshop teaches couples how to make their marriages more satisfying. Learn how to improve communication, effectively manage conflict, and create deeper intimacy using practical skills. This workshop relies on knowledge gained from over 30 years of research on thousands of couples at the University of Washington by the world’s leading relationship expert Dr. John Gottman. Offered by Sandy Adventist Church, February 24-25. The workshop is facilitated by Jon Beaty, LCSW, a 7 Principles Leader trained by The Gottman Institute. Early-registration ends January 31.
