Is This Thing On?


On December 2, at 2:00 p.m. (PST), students from Oakwood University will dialogue with Adventist Church leaders from the North American Division region, during a 120-minute live-streamed conversation. During “Is This Thing On?” Dan Jackson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America, and Alex Bryant, executive secretary, will answer questions via audience and social media. The program at the Huntsville, Alabama university is unscripted; questions will be taken primarily from Facebook and Twitter. Adventist Church Still Assisting Families Across Caribbean


Hundreds of cleaning kits are being sent to hurricane-stricken islands in the Caribbean, thanks to donations recently sent into Miami by the Adventist Community Services in the Allegheny East Conference in Pennsylvania and the Columbia Union church regions in Maryland. Some 1,615 buckets filled with disinfectant and cleaning supplies will go to St. Thomas for distribution throughout the Caribbean. Read more...

Steven Mosley & "The Chosen Garment" – Steven Mosley (a former writer for “It Is Written”) will be at Rockwood Adventist Church at 11:00 am for the worship service on November 25. His presentation is “Chosen Garment – The Whole Bible in One Act.” This whirlwind tour of the Bible is both humorous and deeply moving. Please join us for this worship experience at 1910 SE 182nd Avenue, Portland.

Sunday Volunteers at PACS –
PACS is needing a couple of volunteers to help receive and sort food and restock shelves on Sundays from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. If you're interested call 502-252-8500x120.

Fountainview Academy Orchestra & Choir in Concert – Fountainview Academy Orchestra and Choir present "Come Let Us Adore Him" Saturday December 9 at 7:00 pm at Bend First Presbyterian Church. This youth orchestra/choir has toured and filmed across the world, featured on various television stations across North America, including coverage during the Winter Olympics. All are welcome, so please invite your friends and family to an evening of musical inspiration.This is a complementary non-ticketed event, be sure to arrive early as seating will be limited. Vegan Cooking Class – No meat? No problem! – The Eugene Adventist Church will be holding a free cooking class on Monday, December 4th from 6:30-8:30pm. This month’s topic is “Healthy Holidays – No Meat? No Problem!” Do you find it challenging to stick to a vegan diet during the holidays when every dish is often made with milk, butter, or eggs? Join us for Healthy Holidays – No Meat? No Problem! This month’s menu includes: Cucumber Herb Canapé – Cheese ball – Mexican Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding – Amaretti Cookies.
