OC HEALTH CARE AGENCY ISSUES OCEAN WATER CLOSURE

(Santa Ana, CA) - The Environmental Health division of the OC Health Care Agency has closed the harbor water area in the City of Huntington Beach at Sunset Aquatic Marina and Portofino Cove Marina due to a sewage spill. The spill of approximately 600 gallons was caused by a private sewer lateral blockage in Stanton.

The affected ocean water area will remain closed to ocean water-contact sports until the results of follow-up water quality monitoring meet acceptable standards.
