Free HIV Testing on World AIDS Day
(Santa Ana, CA) - In commemoration of World AIDS Day, on December 1, the OC Health Care Agency (HCA) challenges the community to take the lead in reducing new HIV infections by knowing their HIV status by getting tested through their health care provider or at a location offering free HIV testing.
This year’s campaign “Increasing Impact through Transparence, Accountability, and Partnerships,” focuses on raising awareness of those most at risk and affected by HIV. More than 60 million people have been diagnosed with HIV worldwide. In Orange County, 12,682 people have been diagnosed with HIV since reporting began in 1981. World AIDS Day is a day to reflect and remember those who have lost their lives and those who are living with HIV disease. Help end the stigma of HIV by knowing your status and supporting those living with HIV.
Free HIV Testing on or before World AIDS Day:
- Offered by APAIT Health Center on November 29: Cal State Fullerton, Humanities building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and December 1: Fullerton College, College Center building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Offered by Rendering Access Disease prevention Advocacy & Retention (RADAR) on December 1, The Circle OC, 8901 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Worlds AIDS Day Events:
- A candlelight vigil will be held in Laguna Beach on December 1 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the cobblestone area of the Main Beach.
- Worlds AIDS Day Outreach at Santa Ana Art Walk on Saturday, December 2, 2017 between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. at 102 W. 2nd Street, Santa Ana.
