2023 - Mieszkowski completed one of the best hitting seasons in Lions history while appearing in and starting in all 62 games the Lions played in at second base ... Finished the season with a .374 average, 265 at-bats, 81 runs scored, 99 hits, 19 doubles, four triples, 14 home runs, 66 RBIs, 34 walks, nine HBPs, four sacrifice flys, one sacrifice hits, 11 stolen bases in 13 attempts, 95 putouts, 138 assists and helped turn 33 double plays ... Mieszkowski finished with a .634 slugging and .455 on-base percentage for a 1.089 OPS.
2022 - Mieszkowski appeared in 49 games getting the start in 46 primarily as a shortstop but able to play across the infield ... Finished the season with a .328 average, 189 at bats, 48 runs, 62 hits, 13 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 21 RBIs, slugged .508 and had a .409 on base percentage while stealing six bases and recording 54 putouts and 93 assists.
Prior to Southern - Mieszkowski prepped at Grayslake Central High School where he was a three year letter winner for the Rams and coach Troy Whalen... As a short stop finished with a career .461 average with 41 home runs, 57 RBIs, 57 runs scored and stole 24 bases... An All-Conference and All-State 3A selection was also the 3A Player of the Year... Helped guide the Rams to two regional championships, a conference championship and a sectional championship.
Personal - Nate is the son of Joe Mieszkowski and is a kinesiology major at Southern.
