2023 - Amos appeared in 51 games for the Lions playing as a designated player, pitcher and second basemen ... At the plate she finished with a .302 average with 126 at-bats, 38 hits, 18 runs scored, five doubles, six home runs, 30 RBIs , 12 walks drawn for a .484 slugging percentage, .386 on-base percentage and .870 OPS ... In the circle Amos went 3-5 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.45 WHIP in 24 appearances getting the start in nine with two complete games and two saves in 52.1 innings with 38 strikeouts and limited opposing batters to a .271 average.
2022 - Amos appeared in 50 games for the Lions playing as a designated player and pitcher ... At the plate she finished with a .297 average with 145 at bats, 43 hits, 19 runs scored, 17 doubles (T-5th most in MSSU history), a triple, 25 RBIs while slugging .428 and a 1.000 fielding percentage with three putouts and 23 assists ... In the circle went 11-12 with a 3.19 ERA in 34 appearances, starting in 22 games and went the distance 14 times, had two shutouts, threw 149 innings with 100 strikeouts (13th pitcher in school history) and limited opposing batters to a .273 average.
2021 - Amos appeared in 43 games for the Lions playing as a designated player, infielder and pitcher ... At the plate she finished with a .351 batting average with 114 at-bats, 40 hits, 15 runs scored, four doubles and home runs, a triple, 26 RBIs and a team-high 19 walks drawn. Had a .509 slugging percentage, a .464 on-base percentage, stole two bases and had five putouts and 23 assists ... In the circle went 10-5 with a team-low 2.69 ERA in 24 appearances (11th in MIAA), starting eight and going the distance in one contest, picked up a save, threw 83.1 innings, threw only 21 walks to 57 strikeouts, had a 1.27 WHIP (9th in MIAA) and limited opposing batters to a .254 batting average ... Part of the Lions team that was in Division II, second in triples (24), ninth in triples per game (0.52), 14
th in double plays turned (17), hit-by-pitches (42) and stolen bases (99). Finished 23

Ranked third in on-base percentage (0.366) and scoring average (4.91), fourth in runs scored (226) and win-loss percentage, sixth in ERA (3.27), hits (345) and WHIP (1.46).
Prior to Southern - Amos prepped at Truman High School where she was a four-year letter winner ... Amos registered a 11-3 record with 131 strikeouts and a 0.59 ERA as a sophomore which led to her being named first-team Examiner All-Area, All-Suburban Big Six, All-District and All-Region honors along with second-team selection to the Missouri Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State team as the Patriots finished the season with a 23-6 record ... As a junior Amos broke the single-season school records for batting average (.620), hits (57) and doubles (19) as the Patriots won their second consecutive District title ... Over the course of her High School career Amos has been named a first-team All-District and All-Region pitcher and utility player, as a first-team All-State Utility player, along with second-team All-Region honors as a pitcher and a utility player and as a second-team All-State pitcher ... Amos finished with 441 strikeouts in the circle to go along with 155 hits in her career while holding the career mark in double with 54 for the Patriots.
Personal - Kara is the daughter of Erica and Mark Amos and plans on majoring in graphic design and digital marketing during her time at Southern.
