2023 -Young appeared in 55 games for the Lions getting the start in 54 as an outfielder ... Finished the season with a .355 average, 49 hits, 138 at-bats, 31 runs, six doubles, two triples, one home run, 15 RBIs, 21 walks drawn, stealing 12 bases with a .449 slugging percentage and .461 on-base percentage for a .910 OPS ... Defensively she recorded 79 putouts and five assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage ... Among program junior ranks Young finished third in on-base percentage (min. 95 ABs, .461) and tied for fourth in walks.
2022 - Young appeared in 51 games for the Lions drawing the start in 48 as an outfielder mostly in right field ... Finished the season with a .283 average, 41 hits, 26 runs, a double, four triples, two home runs that included an inside-the-park homer, 24 RBI's, drew 13 walks, went 8-of-12 in stolen base attempts and recoded 71 putouts and an assist.
2021 - Young appeared in 43 games for the Lions starting 37 mostly at right field ... Finished the season with a .290 batting average with 29 hits, 21 runs, 11 RBIs, and went 15-18 in stolen bases (8th in MIAA) ... Had a season-high four RBIs against Central Missouri (Apr. 18th) in the Lions 7-1 win over the Jennies ... Against Emporia State (Apr. 26th) stole a base in the first game before swiping two in the second as the Lions swept the Hornets ... Had two steals in the Lions 7-5 win over Missouri Western (May 7th) in the MIAA Tournament ... Part of the Lions team that was in Division II, second in triples (24), ninth in triples per game (0.52), 14th in double plays turned (17), hit-by-pitches (42) and stolen bases (99). Finished 23rd in stolen bases per game (2.15), 29th in sacrifice bunts (32), 41st in double plays turned per game (0.37) and 49th in win-loss percentage (0.663). In the MIAA the Lions ranked first in double plays turned, stolen bases per game, stolen bases, triples and triples per game, second in double plays turned per game, hit-by-pitches and sacrifice bunts. Ranked third in on-base percentage (0.366) and scoring average (4.91), fourth in runs scored (226) and win-loss percentage, sixth in ERA (3.27), hits (345) and WHIP (1.46).
Prior to Southern - Young prepped at Tulsa Union High School where she was involved in softball, track and as a member of the National Honors Society ... Young split time playing in the infield and the outfield for the Lady Redskins where she would be a four-year All-District honoree and an All-Large East State honor by the Oklahoma High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association as a senior ... Young's efforts on the field where highlighted in the Oklahoma magazine where she touched on her role models and state tournament aspirations.
Personal - Adrianna is the daughter of Lupita Romero and Gene Young and plans on majoring in a combination of physical therapy and sports medicine during her time at Southern.
