Michael Gallo

Michael Gallo is in his second year as an assistant coach with Missouri Southern in 2022 and will assist with the defensive line for the Green and Gold. 

Year one with the Lions saw Solomona Fetuao and Nick Kruse emerge as top talents in their positions across the MIAA. Fetuao finished with 8.5 TFL's along with seven quarterback hurries to go with 43 tackles while Kruse registered 5.5 TFL's and eight quarterback hurries to go with 18 tackles. Dionnte White also had 5.5 TFL's along with four quarterback hurries, a fumble recovery, two forced fumbles and had 27 tackles. Kruse and Fetuao were earned All-MIAA distinctions for their performances.

Gallo comes to the Lions after two years at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. While there, he helped coach the inside linebackers for the Bulldogs. 

Prior to Southwestern, Gallo coached at Central High School where he served as the freshmen offensive coordinator and an assistant defensive line coach for the varsity. 

Gallo is a native of Glendora, Calif. He graduated from Missouri Western in 2018 with a degree in health and physical education. He will finish up a masters degree from Southwestern Oklahoma in 2021.
