2023 - Doherty appeared in 56 games for the Lions starting in 55 at third base ... Finished the season with a .297 average, 202 at-bats, 42 runs scored, 60 hits, 14 doubles, one triples, seven home runs, 43 RBIs, 19 walks, eight HBPs, three sacrifice flys, one stolen base in his lone attempt, 43 putouts, 117 assists and helped turn eight double plays ... Doherty finished with a .480 slugging and .375 on-base percentage for a .855 OPS.

2022 - Doherty redshirted.

Prior to Southern - Doherty prepped at Francis Howell High School for coach Tony Perkins on the baseball diamond and was also involved in the football program for coach Brett Chinoki as a linebacker for the Vikings... Finished with a .450 average in his career while being an All-Conference, All-District and All-Metro selection along with being All-State and an All-American... On the football field was a first team All-Conference and All-District selection.

Personal - Will is the son of Julie Billy Doherty and is general business major at Southern.
