2023 - Perry appeared in all 56 games for the Lions getting the start in 53 as an outfielder ... Finished the season with a .327 average from 162 at-bats, 53 hits, 38 runs scored, 11 doubles, eight home runs, 32 RBIs, drew 11 walks and stole nine bases with a .543 slugging percentage and .399 on-base percentage for a .942 OPS ... Defensively she had 50 putouts and three assists ... Among program sophomore ranks Perry finished tied for second in home runs, third in total bases (88), fourth in hit-by-pitches (9), tied for fourth in runs scored, tied for fifth in RBIs, tied for sixth in extra base hits (19), tied for eighth in doubles and 10th in slugging percentage.
Prior to Southern - Perry played the 2022 season at Central Arkansas where she appeared in 21 games with eight starts ... Finished the season with with four hits, four runs scored, a double, home run with a sacrifice fly and three RBIs ... Prepped at Bentonville High School for coach Kent Early on the softball field while also being involved with the volleyball and basketball teams at Bentonville High ... As a Tiger she was named the Player of the Year in Arkansas by Gatorade, All Preps, USA Today and the NWA Democrat Gazette while being a first team All-State selection as a senior in 2021 ... Helped her team to finish as State Champions in 2018 and 2021 while being runners up in 2019, won three conference championships while being named the State Tournament MVP in 2021 ... Was member of the National Honors Society and a Colors Day Queen as well ... As a senior slashed .490/.553/.950 with 49 hits, 43 runs, 49 RBI, 16 doubles, and 10 home runs while helping the team to a state champions with a 29-3 record. Her sophomore year slashed .410/.495/.892 with 34 hits, 34 runs, 42 RBI, 14 doubles, and eight home runs.Â
Personal - Emily is the daughter of Suzie and Steve Perry and plans to major in business at Southern.
