2023 - Hawkins appeared in 39 games for the Lions as a pinch hitter, pinch runner, defensive substitution and started one game at short stop ... Finished the season with a .273 average from 13 hits, 11 runs scored, three doubles and a stolen base to have a .273 slugging percentage and .333 on-base percentage for a .606 OPS ... Defensively she had three putouts and three assists.

Prior to Southern - Hawkins was a four-year letter winner for coach Shauna Friend at nearby Webb City high school playing as an infielder... During her career as a Cardinal, she was named twice first-team All-Conference and a second-team All-Conference selection once, while earning first-team All-District three times, All-Region twice and was named first-team All-State once... Helped the Cardinals to three district championships and a Class 4 runner-up finish in 2020... Proficient off the field as well as she was a three-time Academic All-State honoree as well... Also competed on the basketball court for the Cardinals and coach Lance Robbins as a guard.

Personal - Peyton is the daughter of Scott Hawkins and plans to major in nursing during her time at Southern.
