Altenew Plentiful Patterns Stand-alone Dies/Stencils Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Welcome to my blog, everyone!!! Thanks so much, Linda Westfall for sending everybody over. For the complete hop list, you can start from the Altenew Card Blog. Take a look at the latest release from Altenew!!!

PLENTIFUL PATTERNS STAND-ALONE DIES/STENCIL COLLECTION

So many beautiful dies and stencils in this release! The following are some cards I made using products from this release.

YOU CAN COUNT ON ME

YOU MATTER DIE SET, KARIN BRUSH MARKERS PRO, WATERCOLOR PAPER, TEAL EMBOSSING POWDER, VERSAMARK INK PEN

I had fun creating this card. First I created this watercolored background using Karin watercolor brushmarkers. The centers were embossed for added contrast. After the panel was dry, I die cut the word YOU from the panel and additional die cuts from Neenah Solar White CS.

These were layered on top of each other for dimension. The same was done for the “can count on me” die. These were adhered to a teal card base to finish off the card.

JUST BECAUSE/THANKS

INLINE LEAVES DIE, ESSENTIAL SENTIMENTS DIE, SEASONAL BLOOMS THANKS DIE

For these cards, I wanted to keep it simple. I used stone, powder blue and orange color combo. For the Thanks card, I used the negative die cut and propped it up with foam squares for a different look.

For the second card, I just layered 2 die cuts on top of each other and added a die-cut sentiment backed with orange cardstock.

I BELIEVE IN YOU

POLKA DOT LEAVES DIE, YOU MATTER DIE, CAPS BOLD ALPHA DIE, NAVY BLUE CARDSTOCK

For this card, I die cut the leaves in navy and olive green. A “shadow” can be created by shifting the top die cut a little bit when adhering on top of each other. The sentiment, as well as the letter U, were die cut 4 times and glued on top of each other for dimension.

On a purple card base, I positioned the leaf and traced with a pencil the right side of the leaves and stem. I then fussy cut this and added a white card base for contrast. I then lined up the leaf where the purple cardstock meets the white and glued this down. The sentiment die cuts were added last.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

MIX & MATCH FRAMES DIE, ESSENTIAL SENTIMENTS DIE, PATTERN MOTIF DIE, GOLD FOIL WASHI, NAVY CARDSTOCK, TEAL AND WHITE CS, FOAM SQUARES

I LOVE the Mix & Match Frames die set!!! You can just layer them on top of each other!!! For this card, I used the beautiful Pattern Motif Die (it’s huge!!!) to create the background for this card. I added foam squares to the navy panel for added dimension.

I added the gold foil washi tape before die cutting the sentiment for added contrast.

BE YOURSELF

BOUNTIFUL BUTTERFLIES BUILDER STENCIL AND DIE, COLOR BLOCK TRIANGLE STENCIL, DAINTY SWISS DOTS STAMP, PURE WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER, ROSE GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER, ALCOHOL INKS, DISTRESS INKS, SAKURA GOLD PEN TOUCH, VERSAMARK INK

This card is a reminder to be yourself and not allow others to dictate who you should be. I started out creating a background using the Gelli plate and alcohol inks and distress oxide inks. I also used the Color Block Triangle Stencil. I then colored the outline with Sakura Gold Pen Touch for contrast.

The Butterfly die was used to die cut vellum then the Swiss Dots pattern was stamped and embossed using Rose Gold embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with Pure White embossing powder.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

MIX & MATCH FRAMES DIE, SIMON HURLEY STAMPING FOAM, DISTRESS INKS

I wanted to create a layered look using 2 of the dies from the Mix & Match Frames die. I used the Simon Hurley stamping foam to create the floral images using Distress Inks. The same inks were used to create a background. Both of these were die cut using the Mix and Match frames and layered with foam squares for added dimension.

SOMETIMES THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN….

IMPRESSIONIST BOUQUET STENCIL AND DIE, MIX AND MATCH FRAMES DIE, SISTERS OF THE HEART SENTIMENT, DYE INKS, ROSE GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER, DISTRESS INK SPRAYS

First, I created the background using Distress Ink sprays. I then created the bouquet of flowers using the stencil and the following dye ink colors: Bamboo, Parrot, Olive for the flowers and Iceberg, Eastern Sky and Ultramarine for the leaves. I die cut the frame.

The edge of the colored background was embossed using Rose Gold embossing powder then the card was assembled using foam squares and glue.

Fabulous cards! Your post is a lesson of many different simple techniques we should be using all the time! I love the simple offsetting of the diecuts instead of straight on top of each other. So simple, yet impactful! Thanks for the reminders!

Wow- I am amazed at your gorgeous cards. Your first card is so stunning- I LOVE how you colored the flowers- so so delicate and pretty, and die cutting the YOU makes it over the top beautiful! I love the little bit of embossing in the center- stunning, again.
