Invitation — 'Welcome' Back Doug Protest Party at Queen's Park: Sat. Feb. 25 No images? Click here Invitation — 'Welcome' Back Doug Protest Party at Queen's Park: Sat. Feb. 25Climate Action Muskoka (CAM) has organized a bus to attend the ‘Welcome’ Back Doug Protest Party! at Queen’s Park, Toronto, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, 11am to 1pm, organized by Grandmothers Act to Save the Planet (GASP) and Environmental Defence. The Ontario legislature reconvenes on February 21 after a ten-week long winter's nap. Doug Ford, his caucus, and Ministers Steve Clark and Graydon Smith have demonstrated an utter disregard for any progress towards an equitable, sustainable, livable Ontario. A coalition of citizens across issues and across sectors is coming together to protect the Greenbelt, farmland, wetlands, education, public health care, workers’ rights, a livable income, housing for all and democracy itself. The Hammond bus will leave Huntsville at 7:00am with pick-up stops in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Orillia and will return to Huntsville at 5:35pm. Tentative schedule below. Climate Action Muskoka and North Simcoe Muskoka District Labour Council (NSMDLC) are co-subsidizing a portion of the cost of the bus in order to bring the price down to $40/seat. If you are able to pay the full $55/seat, CAM would be most appreciative. This will allow us to fund future climate actions. Thank you for considering!
