Los Angeles Unified School District officials cut the ribbon Wednesday on the third affordable apartment building built on district land. The homes are intended for school employees, like cafeteria workers and janitors, who don’t necessarily earn enough to live near the schools where they work. KPCC’s Matt Tinoco reports.
