HOUSTON PUBLIC WORKS MONITORS HEAVY RAIN
Coastal Water Authority lowers Lake Houston

HOUSTON - Houston Public Works is monitoring forecasts calling for the potential of substantial rainfall over the next few days. Moisture from Hurricane Willa off the Pacific Coast may drop several inches of rain in the Houston area.  Houston Water is working with the Coastal Water Authority to slowly lower Lake Houston.

Property owners need to make arrangements to secure boats and other items along the shoreline.
