Libby Davis went missing after her car was found crashed and abandoned in Plano Wednesday evening.

PLANO, TX — A Plano woman who went missing Wednesday afternoon was found dead Thursday afternoon, police said.

Libby Davis was said to have severe depression and anxiety. She was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after her white Toyota Matrix was crashed while traveling westbound on George Bush Turnpike. Texas Department of Transportation spokesman Lonny Haschel said the car was seen driving off the road and crashing into a patch of trees near Preston Road.

A witness called 9-1-1, and when firefighters arrived, the driver of the Matrix wasn't found in the car or nearby area.
