All four Plano City Council races will be contested in the upcoming May elections after challengers filed to run against sitting council members Rick Grady and Ron Kelley.

Eleven candidates filed by the Feb. 15 deadline to appear on the May 4 ballot for open council seats.

Grady will run for re-election against challenger Colleen Aguilar-Epstein. Kelley will face two challengers in his re-election bid: Shelby Williams and Byron Bradford.

Council members Tom Harrison and Angela Miner each announced they would not run for re-election.

Three candidates will vie for Harrison’s seat: former Plano City Council candidate Ann Bacchus, former Plano mayoral candidate Lily Bao and former Plano Deputy City Manager LaShon Ross.

The candidates seeking to fill Miner’s east Plano seat will be Maria Tu, Bill Lisle III and Daniel Long.

Early voting begins April 22 and ends April 30, with election day falling on May 4, according to Collin County elections administration.
