The Rutgers Gardens Farmers Market began as a student-led project. More than a decade later, the market moved into its new home, Cook’s Market. Today the market features a wide variety of vendors, including the Rutgers Gardens Student Farm, which demonstrates land stewardship by practicing sustainable growing practices and providing our communities with quality, nutritious food. Many of our vendors accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Good Food Bucks, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits, and Market Bucks provided to Rutgers students by Student Basic Needs. If you have any questions about these programs when you visit Cook’s Market, stop by one of the Rutgers Gardens tents and we’ll be happy to help!
Sign up for our email newsletter to see which vendors will be at the market each week, and follow the Cook’s Market Instagram account.
