Asset-Based Writing and Assessment Supports for Linguistically Diverse Learners (K-12)
This hybrid professional learning series offered to K-12 co-educators of social studies/ENL will introduce an asset-based model for writing and assessment supports for Multilingual and English Language Learners (MLs/ELLs). Building on research-based investigations on flexibility rhetoric, educators will take a disciplinary literacy approach to examine existing practices, explore translanguaging practices that can support writing skills, and use linguistically responsive feedback principles to move MLs/ELLs’ written compositions started and forward.
