The AcademyHealth National Health Policy Conference (NHPC) provided an extensive overview on the nation’s 2017 health policy agenda. For two days, the nation’s leading health care decision-makers and policy leaders used the existing evidence base to provide clarity on the most critical health care issues and immediate policy priorities in United States health care.
This year's theme, A First Look at the Evidence, Politics and Priorities Shaping Health Policy in 2017, covered changes in the administration and Congress, and was reflected in six plenaries and 16 concurrent sessions. Drawing from accepted submissions from the first-ever NHPC Call for Presentations, sessions included new formats such as Policy Roundtables and Rapid Fire presentations.
