University EIT Accessibility Compliance: Southern New Hampshire University’s Action Plan for Electronic Information Technology Accessibility

This presentation highlights the steps taken by Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) to launch and implement a university-wide EIT accessibility plan. Included are details about the value of an EIT audit prior to creating an EIT accessibility plan, how SNHU determined what to include in the plan, and the steps and timeline for implementation.

Presentation 2

Compliance or Bust: Accessibility, the Office of Civil Rights, and Seton Hall University Libraries

This presentation examines the process of meeting Web Accessibility compliance in an United States academic library for a medium sized University. This process was prompted by the Office of Civil Rights in the Department of Education, and resulted in the execution of a Voluntary Resolution Agreement (VRA). In addition to the process of meeting requirements of the VRA, the presenter describes what a VRA is and the common component parts therein.
