Ayse Yemiscigil, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. She is a Research Affiliate with The Human Flourishing Program at Harvard University and a Fellow at the International Humanistic Management Association.

Dr. Yemiscigil’s research brings a humanistic lens to management and focuses on determinants of work-related well-being at multiple levels (individuals, teams, organizations, and society). She specifically  documents the diversity of well-being experiences at work as a function of socioeconomic context and identity and explores the potential of humanistically oriented leadership development interventions to contribute to personal and social well-being.

Her research has been published in leading academic journals, including Psychological Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Harvard Business Review, and featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal among other media outlets.

Dr. Yemiscigil is a passionate educator and conducts research on well-being oriented educational practices. She currently teaches humanistic management and leadership development and has been recognized for distinguished teaching performance by the Harvard Division of Continuing Education.
