How to resolve a No Response error in the Apple Home app

There are instances when one or two of your Wemo® devices will appear with a No Response message in the Apple® Home app.  If the Wemo is working on the Wemo app, a simple reboot of your devices can usually fix this issue and make your device accessible again.  If the device is still not available, follow the steps below to remove the error.

NOTE:  Images may vary by firmware, browser or device.

Before you begin:
  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the Wemo app.  You can download the latest version from Google Play™ or the App Store®.
  • Make sure your Wemo device is compatible with the Wemo Bridge, F7C074 and that they are on the same WiFi.

Step 1:  Launch the Wemo app and log into your account.  For instructions, click here.

Step 2:  If a Wemo device appears grayed out with a Not Detected message, tap it and select Hide.  This will remove the No Response tile from the Apple Home app.

NOTE:  If you are using a Linksys Smart WiFi Router or Velop system, look for the Wemo Bridge in the Devices section of the Linksys app.  If you are using a Belkin router, click here for instructions.

Step 2:  Launch a browser, enter the IP address of the Wemo Bridge in the Address bar, and press [ENTER]

Step 3:  Enter admin for the username and the HomeKit® code for the password (without dashes).  You can find the code on the label of the Wemo Bridge.
