Celebrating Boone County's 225th AnniversaryFrom the Frontier to the Future
Join us all year long to celebrate Boone County's 225th anniversary! While the County was created by the General Assembly of Kentucky on December 3, 1798, the first official meeting of county officials took place in June of 1799. This spring and summer, we will look back fondly on our history, and excitedly look to the future. Community organizations are invited to apply to be an official 225th Anniversary event, and the public is encouraged to join us at a special signature event on June 1 at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
