Sled Hockey

Try sled hockey through the Central Florida Dreamplex’s newly-formed program!  These practices are open to all children and adults with physical disabilities ages 6 and up, and are open to those trying for the first time or to those who have experience and want to improve their skills.  Practices will divide participants into age and skill appropriate groups on the ice.  All equipment will be provided!  Join us as we begin building a sled hockey program for all Orlando-area residents!

Sled hockey follows most of the typical ice hockey rules with the exception of some equipment. Players sit in specially designed sleds that sit on top of two hockey skate blades. There are two sticks for each player instead of one and the sticks have metal picks on the butt end for players to propel themselves.
