FirstHand Theatrical (FHT) creates and presents original theater productions using primary source material drawn mainly from diverse personal, cultural and social histories and other writing.

RECENT NEWS:

In March 2022, FHT Artistic Director Kevin Olson directed a production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Water By The Spoonful" by Quiara Alegria Hudes at the Community College of Rhode Island. His talented cast won an Outstanding Ensemble Certificate from the American College Theater Festival, Region 1

In October 2023, he will direct "The Laramie Project."

The plays "And Then What?" and "How Many Bushels Am I Worth?" created by Kevin Olson and Bena Shklanoy are being filmed to video for use in a variety of educational settings funded by Ms. Shklanoy.
