We are the III/5th FJR, a World War II Re-enacting group based out of Louisville, Ky. / Fort Knox, Ky. U.S.A. area. Our unit was founded by history and weapons enthusiasts. There is a heavy emphasis on historical
accuracy expected from our members, and we strive to improve our impressions each time we go on outings.
Our main impression is of the German
Airborne Soldier of WW II. However,
we do have secondary impressions you
can find details on within our site.
If you are interested, please understand that this can be an expensive hobby. We will, however, help you in any way possible as you build your impression, directing you to quality vendors and provide you with fill in/ loaner items when possible until you can complete your impression. We will allow a reasonable amount of time for you to acquire your gear.
We strive to attend 8-10 quality events per year, usually a mixture of public demos and/or tactical battles.
As we are spread out over a large area we hold group meetings whenever possible, but updates, details and correspondence are mainly through our web page and e-mails.
If you are interested in belonging to a quality and an involved unit in the re-enacting and living history arena, please click on the link below, our rekrut officer will contact you in a timely manner to further discuss your
interest in this fascinating hobby. We look forward to hearing from you.
