SOPHOMORE (2017)
Started 64 games including making 61 starts during breakout 2017 season … finished fourth on the team in batting average .326 (70 of 215) while producing 42 runs, 12 doubles, four triples and a pair of homers … his 42 RBIs ranked fifth on the squad … produced 20 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games … named to the All-Southland Conference Tournament team after hitting .444 (8 for 18) with team-best seven runs and three doubles while totaling six RBIs in four games … also appeared on the All-NCAA Lubbock Regional squad, leading the Bearkats with a .471 average (8 of 17) including four runs and a pair of RBIs in five games … became the first player since Ryan O'Hearn (May 3, 2014) to total six RBIs in a game, doing so in a 20-5 win vs. Buffalo on March 24 … produced two four-hit performances over five starts (May 24, April 1) … became the first player in Sam Houston career history to record two triples in multiple games, adding a pair of triples on April 1 vs. Abilene Christian after doing so in 2016 against Prairie View A&M … belted a three-run home run to knot the game up vs. Rice on March 28 … went 2 for 4 with two RBIs in NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional opener vs. Florida State … helped Kats clinch first ever Super Regional berth by going 2 for 4 with two runs and as many RBIs in the NCAA Lubbock Regional Final vs. Texas Tech on June 5.

Played in 47 games including 28 starts in right field, seven in left and four at designated hitter … finished second on the team in sac flies (3) and fifth in slugging percentage (.371) … first collegiate home run was a third-run shot against Nicholls on March 25 … went 4 for 5 with two runs at Wichita State on March 4 … went 2 for 3 with an RBI in the Southland Conference Tournament championship game against Southeastern Louisiana … collected seven multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games.
