2018 SEASON
SLC all-academic second team … went 6-5 in 22 appearances, including nine starts … opened season as closer and picked up saves vs Cincinnati (2/23) and at Lamar (3/9) before moving to middle relief and eventually to the weekend rotation … struck out 54 hitters in 73.0 innings, including 45 punchouts in 48.2 innings as a starter … had a stretch of five straight relief appearances without allowing an earned run, beginning with 3.1 innings with just one unearned run allowed at Shriners Classic against Mississippi State (3/4) … did not allow an earned run in 4.0 innings of relief in win at Baylor (3/13) … made first career start on 3/20 at Texas, allowing two runs in 3.2 innings … went exactly 6.0 innings in each of first three starts in SLC play, including striking out seven with just one walk and no runs allowed to get the win over ACU (3/31) … struck out five and picked up win in 6.0 innings at Nicholls (4/6) … turned in best start of the year at McNeese, punching out 10 with only two walks in 7.0 innings to get win over Cowboys (4/27) … struck out seven in series opener against HBU (5/11).

Recorded the most saves for a Sam Houston freshman in a season and matched Greg Belton (2016) for the second-most in program history with 13 … recorded saves in three of Sam Houston's four victories at the NCAA Lubbock Regional including clinching first regional championship with a scoreless ninth inning against No. 10 Texas Tech on June 5 … logged 29 1-3 relief innings on the season, striking out 32 while posting a 3.38 ERA … struck out season-high three hitters three times including on June 2 vs. Arizona, holding the Wildcats to one hit on June 2 … closed out Southland Tournament championship for Sam Houston, striking out one without a hit in 1 1-3 innings vs. Central Arkansas on May 27 … held opponents scoreless in nine straight relief appearances spanning nine innings between Feb. 19 and March 14 … picked up first save on Feb. 28 at Texas State over 1 1-3 innings.
