Greetings,

As an upcoming UNCW graduate, we want you to be informed about commencement and graduation details. Every month you will receive an email with information related to graduating. Please share these emails with family and friends who wish to celebrate this milestone in your life.

There will be two commencement ceremonies for summer and fall 2018 graduates. The fall 2018 commencement ceremonies will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

·        9:30 a.m. will be the Professional Schools - Cameron School of Business, Watson College of Education and the College of Health and Human Services

·        1 p.m. will be the College of Arts & Sciences

Tickets are NOT REQUIRED to attend a fall 2018 commencement ceremony. However, family and friends may need tickets to attend departmental events/receptions; please verify this information with your department. Undergraduates and graduates attend the ceremony in which their school/college is represented. If you are double majoring, you have the choice to attend one or both ceremonies based on your major.

Please note, the graduation date in SeaNet reflects UNCW’s official degree award date, which may be different from your actual commencement ceremony date.

Cap and Gown (Regalia)

All students participating in a graduation ceremony need regalia (cap and gown). Extension and Distance Education students must purchase regalia because you do not pay the same students fees as on-campus students. To purchase your regalia, visit the Oak Hall site and select “Off-Campus Students” and place your order; orders must be completed by November 27.

Regalia cost is $47.98 for undergraduate (Bachelor) students and $88.96 for Graduate (Master’s) students. You may have the regalia shipped to your home or you may pick it up at the Seahawk Salute (November 8) or during normal Bookstore business hours between November 9 and December 13.
