Commencement Ceremonies

There will be five Commencement ceremonies for spring 2019 graduates. Tickets are free, but ARE required for guests to attend the Cameron School of Business ceremony (Friday, May 10 at 2 p.m.) or the College of Health and Human Services ceremony (Friday, May 10 at 6 p.m.).

If you are graduating from the Cameron School of Business or the College of Health and Human Services, then you have two options for getting your 7 tickets:

  1. You may pick-up tickets (and your regalia) at Seahawk Salute on April 9 in Warwick Center or from the UNCW Bookstore (during normal business hours) at any time after Seahawk Salute, up to May 8, 2019.
  2. Click here to claim your 7 tickets, and have them mailed to you; there will be a $1.50 processing fee for this.

Tickets are NOT required for guests attending the Watson College of Education (Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m.) or the College of Arts and Sciences (Saturday, May 11 at 12:30 and 4 p.m.) ceremonies.  Undergraduates and graduates attend the ceremony during which their school/college is represented. Students who will graduate with a double major within different schools may choose which ceremony to attend. Please note, the graduation date in SeaNet reflects UNCW’s official degree award date, which may be different from your actual commencement ceremony date.

Departments may have receptions and other events; please check with your department to verify their events and whether tickets are required.

The commencement website will provide information about announcements, class rings, Seahawk Salute, picking up caps and gowns, departmental events and detailed information about the main commencement ceremonies. Additionally, there is a Frequently Asked Questions page for your reference. If you have any questions, contact the Office of Transition Programs at transitions@uncw.edu or 910.962.3089.
