Rubbernecker Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

Hi friends, super excited today to celebrate the new release from Rubbernecker and this post is called the Rubbernecker Birthday Celebration Bog Hop. As the title states Rubbernecker is celebrating their 29th Birthday and this release is packed with some amazing birthday stamp sets with some really cute and quirky sentiments. The release also has some non birthday stamp sets as well which can be used for other occasions in life. To celebrate this release Rubbernecker also has a Giveaway. I will have the details of the giveaway at the bottom of the page. As I mentioned this is a blog hop and I am guessing you are already hopping along and have come to my page from my dear friend and an amazing crafter, Carol's blog. If I am your first on the hop today I highly recommend you starting at the Rubbernecker's Blog page for all the fun info on this release and hop.

For my card today I chose to make a congratulation card using the new stamp from the Rubbernecker Birthday Celebration release called, Always On My Mind.I love the simplicity of the floral images in this stamp set and the fact that they are lined images makes it fun to color with your medium of choice.

  • I stamped the floral images using versa mark ink to emboss it with gold embossing powder. I used copic markers to create a faux watercolor look. (I will have a video up soon on the Rubbernecker Youtube Channel showing how I created the Faux look.)

  • After coloring the florals and the leaves I fussy cut the images using a sharp scissors. The Stamp set does come with a coordinating die which I did not have at the time I made this card.

  • I also die cut the ornamental die from Cherry Lynn Dies (available in the Rubbernecker store) using a golf mirror card stock.

  • The sentiment is from the Dessert set which I embossed using gold embossing powder.

  • For the card base I chose a woodgrain embossed card stock, which added some interested to an otherwise very simple card.

  • Before adding the die cut elements to the card base, I decided to add some gold splatter, using gold metallic paint.

  • I created a composition with the focus in the center of the card base, meaning all my elements were adhered to the center.

I am so glad you could join me on this Rubbernecker Birthday Celebration Blog Hop and I hope I have inspired you to create something beautiful today. Here is the LINK to the Rubbernecker Shop .

Next stop on the hop is my very talented friend Allison . Have fun hopping!!!!
