Hi everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend – how about we brighten it up with the new Craft-A-Flower from Altenew? Introducing the Cosmos! And I’m really brightening up the flowers today – with pinks, yellows and teals to help the flowers pop!

There’s details of a giveaway and all the stops on the hop at the end of this post. If you get lost you can start over at the Altenew Blog.

I die cut all of my pieces for my card from white cardstock. I like to do this when I’m going to ink blend my color onto the image to add a little more depth and shading.

The main light petals are white with a tiny touch of Pastel Sunrise in the centre. The for the next layer I used Fresh Lemon with Pastel Sunrise in the centre. For the pink layer I used Fuchsia with a hint of Lavender Fields in the centre. I used the Pastel Sunrise and Lemon Yellow again for the centres. I then adhered them all together with craft glue. I also die cut several of the leaves and stems and then blended Lagoon Ink onto them.

For my card base I used the Swirlf Motif 3D embossing folder and dry embossed a panel of white cardstock. I then arranged the Cosmos by adhering the florals first with foam squares, and then adhering the leaves in amongst the flowers. I added a good splattering of Antique Gold spray too. To finish, I layered up the hugs sentiment using Jet Black cardstock and vellum from the Simple Greetings dies set.
