This hop celebrates the first ever Craft Your Life Project Kit – a monthly package from Altenew featuring a 6×8 stamp set, coordinating die set, as well as a coloring stencil and embossing folder to fit the theme. These products aren’t sold separately.
I’ve created two cards today using products from the kit – there are so many possibilities! I used the stamp first, and created a heat embossed square shaped card. I heat embossed it in Golden Peach onto watercolor cardstock, I then used my Altenew watercolors to watercolor the images, with bright fun colors.
I also added a little watercolor onto some of the acetate packaging and smushed it onto the background to add some more texture. I stamped the sentiment from the set in Obsidian pigment ink.
To finish, I trimmed the card to a square and matted onto a pink card panel then a notecard. I also added added a die cut and layered Hello using the same pink cardstock and popped it. up on foam tape.
For my second card, I first created a corally ombre wash using the watercolors on a panel of cardstock I then lined up the outline and die cut out before dry embossing with the embossing folder. It doesn’t line up perfectly but it’s pretty close and looks great when trimmed and mounted. with foam tape onto Spicy Yoghurt cardstock!
I stamped the sentiment in Obsidian Black ink and then splattered some Warm Sunshine metallic spray to finish.

I really like how you embossed with the peachy color rather than the standard black! It surprised me how much it changed the overall look. Not as “unformed” as just coloring the folder embossed version or just using the stencils, buy not as “formal” as the black. 😁
