Farming, Agriculture and Resource Management for Sustainability (FARMS) is established as a stand-alone high-school education program.

2001

CLBL breaks ground on a new 30-acre headquarters at The Maples Farm in Woodland, California, providing field and classroom learning space for programs and the community.

2021
1993

The Center for Land-Based Learning becomes a formal nonprofit organization and launches a second initiative, the Student and Landowner Education and Watershed Stewardship Program (SLEWS).

2020

The Mobile Farmers Market Truck hits the road in West Sacramento, California, expanding the Community Food Program.

Natural Mosquito Control

You’re invited to our monthly Speaker Series events for pizza, libations and insights. On May 15th we’ll learn from UC Davis entomologists about how to control mosquito populations while protecting beneficial insects like dragonflies.

Our Mobile Farmers Market season starts in late May! Get a sneak peak, grab a beer and some food and support CLBL at Blue Note Brewing on May 11th from 12-3 pm. We’ll be one of the stops at their Mother’s Day weekend marketplace.
