Dear SCYIHA Members,

At this time of year, we optimistically look ahead to the 2024-2025 season and what the future may bring for our players and our organization. The success of our club greatly depends on members to participate in a variety of positions and tasks to help make hockey a great experience for our kids. Supporting SCYIHA and serving on the board provides incredible opportunities to become involved and help shape the future of our organization. 

Call for Board Nominations
As a member of SCYIHA, you have the privilege of nominating yourself or other members to serve on the board. We invite you to submit yourself or to recommend someone who you think would be a great leader or contributor to the board. We are asking our membership to please nominate potential board members through the linked form below with nominations due by end of day Wednesday, May 1st. Voting will open Friday, May 10th, and will close on Friday, May 24th. The new board will conduct its first meeting on Tuesday, May 28th. 

What are the expectations if elected to the board?

General expectation of potential board members is that they attend monthly board meetings held at Pegula, serve on at least one committee, or hold an officer/coordinator role, be willing and open to communicate with the membership, and be a part of growing and advancing Icers hockey.

What’s Next?

If you accept a nomination, you will need to submit a current brief biographical description (e.g., age level that nominee will represent, any skills that may assist the Organization). We will require that bios be submitted by Sunday, May 5th. Bios will be posted as part of the electronic voting link with the ballot on May 10th. Note: only one person per family is eligible to be a voting member of the board.  

After nominations and bios are collected, a ballot will be created, and voting will be available electronically to the membership. 

Registration for the 2024-2025 Girls-Only, Icers, and Keystone Wild season is now open! Please carefully read the documents on the registration page for important information regarding registration, tryouts, and season fee payments.
