The Czech Technical University in Prague and the Brno University of Technology along with two partners from Germany have received a €400,000 (US$427,000) European Union subsidy for the development of a Czech-German research centre, reports CTK.

The Czech Technical University in Prague, or CVUT, spokesperson Andrea Vondrakova said the project is supposed to lay foundations for future Czech-German cooperation in research into advanced industrial production.

The CVUT's Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics, the Brno University of Technology’s Central European Institute of Technology and two German research institutions, the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the Centre for Mechatronics and Automation Technology, will take part in the project that seeks to ensure that the Czech Republic and Germany become future leaders of digital transformation.
