Safety and Recall Notifications

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the following voluntary safety recalls have been announced by the manufacturer.
In order to check whether your water heater or boiler is affected, you will need its serial number. Please scroll down to confirm you are using the correct serial number lookup page for your unit.

1) Condensing Gas Boilers, Condensing Gas Combi Boilers or Packaged Systems Sold from August 2021 Through September 2023 (Manufactured Between August 23, 2021 and July 13, 2023): In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Lochinvar is voluntarily recalling Lochinvar, State and A. O. Smith brand boiler because the flue collector can crack if exposed to a high impact event in the burner chamber, which can allow the boiler to emit carbon monoxide, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. If you purchased a Lochinvar, A. O. Smith or State brand Condensing Gas Boiler, Condensing Gas Combi Boiler or Packaged System that was manufactured during this time period and would like to check to see if your boiler is affected by this recall, please click on the brand of the model that you purchased. The brand name is printed on the front of the unit.

2) Condensing Gas Boilers and Condensing Gas Combi Boilers Manufactured Between August 16, 2016 and May 28, 2019: If you purchased a Lochinvar, A. O. Smith or State brand Condensing Gas Boiler or Condensing Gas Combi Boiler that was manufactured during this time period and would like to check to see if your boiler is affected by this recall, please click on the brand of the model that you purchased

3) Residential Ultra-Low NOx Water Heaters Manufactured Between April 2011 and August 2016: If you purchased a Whirlpool, U.S. Craftmaster, American Water Heater, State, Reliance, A. O. Smith or Kenmore brand Ultra-Low NOX Water heater that is installed directly on a wood or other combustible surface and would like to check to see if your heater and the installation conditions are such that you would be affected by this recall, please click here with your serial number handy to receive additional information and instruction.

4) Thirty-Gallon A. O. Smith brand Model G6-UT3030NV: If you purchased an A. O. Smith brand G6-UT3030NV thirty gallon water heater at a California Lowe's Home improvement Store between the dates of February 1, 2018, and April 9, 2018, and would like to check to see if your heater is affected by this recall, please click here with your serial number handy to receive additional information and instruction.
