Police search for 2 men involved in incident with UNCW student

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington Police Department is looking for two men involved in an incident with a female UNCW student Friday morning.

According to an email from UNCW officials, the student was walking to campus along Wood Dale Drive around 8:55 a.m. when a black car traveling at a high rate of speed pulled off the road and parked behind some bushes near the student.

A passenger got out of the car and opened the rear passenger door, which startled the student who ran to a nearby house.

The car then sped away as the student was running to the house.

Wilmington police are searching for the car, described as a mid-sized, new-model black sedan with chrome wheel and tinted windows. The passenger of the car was a white male in his mid-20s or 30s wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. He had sandy blonde hair. The driver was also a white male in his mid-20s.
