MCDOT has won a $60,000 grant from the Transportation Land-Use Connections Program to develop multilingual/ADA materials to help educate pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers about ways to use new bicycle infrastructure that is designed to enhance safety. The bike facilities include separated bike lanes, bike boxes and other techniques that expand travel options for bicyclists.
The outreach materials will be used in planned Bicycle and Pedestrian Priority and Bikeway Program areas as part of a pilot program that MCDOT will conduct in White Flint and Silver Spring.
