Microsoft Word Is Getting a Resume Assistant From LinkedIn

Microsoft Word was bitten by the corporate synergy bug

Microsoft Word was bitten by the corporate synergy bug, as LinkedIn introduced Resume Assistant for its parent company’s word-processing giant.

Microsoft acquired LinkedIn in December 2016.

LinkedIn senior product manager Kylan Nieh said in a blog post that once users select their desired roles and industries, Resume Assistant will bring up insights from millions of LinkedIn member profiles to show users how professionals in those roles describe their jobs.

Users can also go directly to job openings on LinkedIn, as well as turn on the professional network’s Open Candidates feature, which enables users to privately alert recruiters that they are looking.
