Your favorite outdoor fitness series is back.

It’s SWEAT season! Back by popular demand, Derby Street SWEAT returns even earlier this year to bring you safer, socially distanced outdoor fitness that gives back to the community. Beginning April 26, you can get your sweat on safely with a dynamic and exciting lineup of weekly classes. We’ve partnered with the best local South Shore instructors to bring you a mix of strength, kickboxing, barre, cardio dance and yoga and we’ll be donating a portion of the proceeds of the SWEAT program to the Hingham Sports Partnership. All classes will take place on the Derby Street Green, located between REI and Kohl’s, and will have limited capacity to ensure social distancing and keep with local safety regulations. Participants must purchase and register for classes in advance. Instructions for doing so for each class can be found below in the partners and class descriptions section.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Monday

  • 9:30am -barreTONE abs and booty with Barre by Jenn (45 minutes)
  • 5:30pm -Strong with Kinetic Synergy (45 minutes)
  • 7:30pm -HIIT LED Light Bootcamp with Two Toned Training (45 minutes, bi-weekly)

Tuesday

  • 6:00pm -Cardio Dance with Andre Callicutt (60 minutes)

Wednesday

  • 8:30am -Total Body Burn with Kinetic Synergy (45 minutes)
  • 9:30am -barrePOWER with Barre by Jenn (45 minutes)

Thursday

  • 9:30am -Stroller barre with Barre by Jenn (45 minutes)

Friday

  • 9:15am -barrePOWER with Jennifer Maturo (45 minutes)

Meet Jenn Maturo- barre instructor and founder of barrebyjenn barreTONE classes. Jenn received her barre certification training under the best of the best at North End yoga and you can now find her toning and lengthening thighs, sculpting and lifting booties all over the south shore and Boston. Jenn is known for her tough but effective full body and targeted muscle groups  barreTONE  classes and  sweat dripping cardio barre workouts. “I try and push my clients past their limits, it doesn’t matter if its your first or 300th barre class, it should always be difficult, you can always take it one inch deeper, lower, and tighter.” To sign up and purchase classes, please click here.

Andre Callicutt, Cardio Dance (60 min)
This Zumba inspired hip hop class is unlike any other class out there. As the class starts you can see the stress, worry, and anxiety melt away. You feel like you’re not working out but at a dance party, and when you leave you’re happy, smiling, and ready to start your day. All are welcome; don’t worry if you have never danced a day in your life. This class will allow you to get your sweat on and express yourself. HIIT LED Light Bootcamp, Two Toned Training
Join this electric experience with LED lights, music and a killer workout! This 45 minute bodyweight/HIIT class is a unique workout experience for all fitness levels led by dynamic sister duo, Shai + Leah Douty of Two Toned Training. Anna Paiva, Vinyasa Flow (60 min)
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Anna has vivacious energy that immediately is contagious in the room. She describes her practice as a moment to feel alive and free. Linking up mind, breath, body and spirit, her classes are full of energy. Prepare to work, sweat, empower, bliss out, and have fun on your mat! Kinetic Synergy Dance Studio, Strong + Body Burn (45 min)

Strong with Jen Fine & Lisa Carlson
This class combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. Classes can be purchased and booked online here.

Body Burn with Lisa Carlson
This class is a combination of cardio and boxing providing a total body workout that aims to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Classes can be purchased and booked online here.
