Bill Nye, 'the Science Guy,' Joins the Saint Louis Climate Summit Keynote Session

Bill Nye joins a distinguished group of speakers including Carl Pope at the keynote session of the Saint Louis Climate Summit and Saint Louis University students, faculty and staff members can attend the talk for free by showing a valid University ID. SLU community members are entitled to two free tickets to the April 23 talk.
Hosted by Saint Louis University as a part of its year-long Bicentennial Celebration, the summit bring s some of the most authoritative minds in climate science and related disciplines to the Midwest for three days of discussion on climate change Sunday, April 22 to Tuesday, 24, 2018.
Members of the Washington University community can also attend the keynote session for free by showing their valid school IDs.
Area teachers and students can attend for $7.50. Other interested attendees can purchase tickets for $15.

Other conference speakers include Cardinal Peter Turkson , Nobel Laureate Mario Molina, Jeffrey Sachs, Ph.D., and Peter Raven Ph.D., among many others.
Nye will bring his infectious blend of humor and intellectual curiosity to the issue of climate change . Best known for his Emmy-winning run as “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” he will inspire the audience to engage with and improve our world. Nye will speak Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m., in Chaifetz Arena.
Nye, scien ce educator , mechanical engineer, bestselling author, and host of the Emmy-nominated Bill Nye Saves the World on Netflix, is a man with a mission: to help foster a scientifically literate society and to help people everywhere understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work. Making science entertaining and accessible is something Nye has been doing most of his life.
He fights to raise awareness of climate change and the value of critical thinking, science, and reason. Through all his work, Nye hopes to inspire people everywhere to change the world.
The Nine Network of Public Media serve s as media partner and provide s event management for the summit. It will host many of the speakers and panels at its facilities in Grand Center, near the campus of Saint Louis University.
