Sunday Best moves beyond common ideas about Southern cuisine and Soul Food. Chef Adrienne highlights the subtleties, nuance, and some lesser-known facets of the cuisine. While humble in origin, it deserves a place at the table and in the narrative of serious cuisine.

The name Sunday Best comes from a common historical concept among African Americans that your best clothes were reserved for Sundays. During segregation, putting on your "Sunday Best" was a way of demanding acceptance, freedom, and full inclusion in the narrative of the nation.

The afternoon will include a 30-minute conversation and Q&A with Chef Adrienne, moderated by Wanda Mann (President, LDNY and East Coast Editor, The SOMM Journal and Tasting Panel). Chef Adrienne will also sign copies of Sunday Best. Proceeds will benefit the LDNY scholarship fund.
