The Start of Everything: Three First in Series Novels

What a brilliant idea to put the first book of three different series from this author in one ebook to wet your whistle and get addicted to all of them and want more. I know I did! It is hard to choose a favorite because I loved all the Wicked series, they are exactly what it says.... wicked.... in the best way! And I also adored the Legal Affairs books too, especially the first with Mac, she’s sassy and smart and sexy. But you really can’t go wrong with either of these books. All three are going to give you an amazing story with funny banter and steamy frolicking and beautiful HEA’s.

I love these start up books, they’re such a great way to introduce new authors and new series to readers. The Start of Everything introduces us to Sawyer Bennett’s Last Call Series with On the Rocks, a second chance romance that follows professional surfer Hunter and his sister's best friend Gabby, who has crushed on him all her teenage life. At the age of 18 Gabby puts herself out there and Hunter pretty much shoots her down, right before he sets off to travel the world surfing. Fast forward 5 years and Hunter returns home, hey presto, who knew it, they're attracted to each other, there are however lots of obstacles in the way of their HEA, ex girlfriends, the urge (or not) for Hunter to go on tour again, gabby's stubborn nature. Can they choose each other? Does love conquer all? Loved the story, loved the writing (dual POV, my favourite), and both Gabby and Hunter are sizzling hot together. Secondly we’re introduced to the Legal Affairs series, a forbidden workplace romance that is hot, hot, hot. Lots of sexual tension with Matt and Mac in their on again, off again relationship. Sparks fly, in this thoroughly enjoyable read. Finally we visit the Wicked Horse Vegas with Jerico Jameson and his exclusive Vegas sex club. A story that’s not all kinky sex (although yes, I'm happy to say it did play a big part, because I've got to say, no-one does kinky quite as good as Sawyer Bennett). After swearing not to fall in love again (following the ultimate betrayal), Jerico is happy with no strings sex with no repeats, ever. When the perfect opportunity for revenge falls in his lap, he finds himself questioning his life and he starts re-evaluating what is truly important. Fab story, scorching hot sex scenes and with a perfect super hot alpha sexy book boyfriend to top it off. This 3 story box set is a full 5 Star winner for me, it’s a great introduction to Sawyer Bennett’s writing and characters.
